How stock moves through the business
Seven steps, start to finish. Pick a step to see what happens there and what you can read about it. Fifteen minutes end to end, and you will understand every number in the app.
Store
Step 3 of 7Stock sits somewhere specific. Every unit belongs to a location, and the same product can hold different numbers in a warehouse, a retail counter and an event stall at the same time.
Counting and moving both happen here. A count reconciles the system to the shelf; a transfer moves units between your own locations without changing the total you own.
- Goes up
- Nothing by itself. A count posts whatever the shelf says.
- Doesn’t move
- Your overall total, when stock moves between your own locations.
- Written down
- Every count and every transfer, each as its own entry.
- Watch out
- A single location can hold a negative number, and it drags the total down even when every shelf you can see has stock on it.
